Yoga Slim 9i: A Laptop with an Under-Display Camera

Lenovo unveiled the Yoga Slim 9i, the world’s first laptop featuring an under-display camera. This innovation eliminates the notch or visible webcam hardware, resulting in a sleek, uninterrupted display. The Yoga Slim 9i caters to professionals and creators seeking a seamless and aesthetic device. Alongside its unique design, it boasts high-performance specs suitable for modern multitasking and content creation.

ThinkBook Plus Gen 6: Rollable Laptop Display

Lenovo also introduced the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, featuring a rollable laptop display. This revolutionary design allows users to expand the screen vertically, providing enhanced functionality for tasks like coding, document editing, and web browsing. With its flexibility, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 promises to redefine how we interact with portable devices.

Lenovo Legion Go: A Steam OS-Powered Handheld

The Lenovo Legion Go, the first handheld device powered by Steam OS, is set to revolutionize gaming. Priced at $500, the base model includes the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. A Windows version, launching in January 2025, will cost $730 and feature the new Ryzen Z2 Go chip, along with a three-month PC Game Pass subscription. With its competitive pricing and advanced features, the Legion Go aims to challenge established players in the handheld gaming market.

    Valve’s Steam OS Expansion

Valve announced an exciting development for gaming enthusiasts: the beta release of Steam OS for other handheld devices. While Valve clarified that they did not collaborate with GPD for Steam OS support on the GPD Win 4, this move opens up opportunities for device manufacturers and gamers alike to explore Steam OS’s potential. This beta release signals Valve’s commitment to expanding its ecosystem.

    Meta’s Content Moderation Shift

Meta is transitioning to a community notes model for content moderation across its platforms, moving away from third-party fact-checking. This shift aims to promote transparency and community involvement. Additionally, Meta has relaxed some moderation policies while referencing competing platform X during the announcement. This change reflects a broader industry trend toward decentralizing moderation.

    Nvidia’s Groundbreaking Announcements

Nvidia took center stage at CES with several exciting innovations:

    1. GeForce Now for Steam Deck: Nvidia’s game streaming service, GeForce Now, is now compatible with the Steam Deck, providing gamers with access to high-performance cloud gaming.
    2. Generative AI NPCs: The introduction of AI-powered NPCs promises a transformative gaming experience by offering dynamic and responsive interactions.
    3. Project R2X Desktop Assistant: A cutting-edge desktop assistant designed to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
    4. Tiny Desktop Computer: Nvidia revealed a compact desktop computer powered by their Blackwell GPU, offering remarkable power in a small form factor.

    Sony’s AI-Powered Automotive Vision

Sony, in collaboration with Honda, shared updates on their AI-powered car project, Aila. Designed with cutting-edge AI capabilities, Aila aims to redefine smart transportation. Scheduled for a 2026 release, the car is priced at $89,900. It promises advanced features, including autonomous driving and an AI-powered infotainment system.

CES 2025 set a high bar for innovation, with each announcement reflecting a vision for the future. Whether it’s Lenovo’s trailblazing laptops, Nvidia’s AI advancements, or Sony’s foray into smart cars, the tech industry is poised for an exciting year ahead.
